Dalby sale 25 Jan 2023: Mild steer costs raise

A lot of the cattle had been drawn from the native areas with one consignment of 486 head from Chinchilla.

Purchaser attendance was just like the earlier sale.

Costs for nicely bred mild weight yearling steers returning to the paddock improved by 20c to 30c/kg. The higher finish of the yearling steers to feed lifted in value by 5c to 9c/kg.

Heavy grown steers and bullocks expertise little or no change in value.

A big run of PTIC cows to restockers obtained wonderful assist. Nonetheless cows to processors misplaced 6c to 8c/kg. Mild weight yearling steers returning to the paddock made to the occasional 568c with a big quantity at 503c/kg.

Heavy weight bulls made 270c/kg.

Numbers improved once more this week to climb to 3324 head with GDL yarding 1148 head. The same old panel of patrons had been current and energetic this week. Costs in your slaughter cattle continued to melt this week to various levels, good heavy cows bought to across the 280c/kg mark. Bulls bought nearer to the 250c/kg. Bullocks bought persistently shut 350/kg and heifers going to processors had been agency, although not many to cite. Feeder steers improved once more, up one other 10c/kg on common and heifers remained pretty agency. Light-weight yearling steers noticed the most effective enchancment at 20 to 30c/kg higher. Yearling heifers didn’t expertise a lot change.
